Elementary Students

What We Offer

Stellar Robotics offers programs for elementary age students through the FIRST® organization in two categories:

Member Responsibilities

Membership on Stellar Robotics teams includes the following requirements:

  • attendance
  • fundraising
  • parent or guardian support/volunteerism

Team Size

FIRST limits the number of students per team:

  • FLLJr – 6
  • FLL – 10

Number of Teams

Stellar Robotics can offer as many teams as we have coaches for. Two per team are required. If you are interested in team membership for your student, we strongly urge you to consider signing up as a coach. No technical knowledge is required. You will receive assistance from veteran coaches. No coaches, no teams.

Elementary Season

The FLL program seasons typically begins in August and runs through the fall. Some events may carry over into January. In addition, when teams qualify, they may participate in the international championship event, which takes place in Detroit, MI in April of each year.

The FLLJr program currently runs in winter, beginning in January, but now is always the time to apply.
